&TV’s
Women’s Day Initiative ‘Selfie Lo. Shine Karo. Star Ban Jaao!’ Turns
Selfies into Symbols of Empowerment in Lucknow
~Celebrating
women, confidence, and self-expression, Shilpa Shinde brought the campaign live
spotlighting everyday heroes~
National,
March 2026: This Women’s Day, &TV
transformed the simple act of taking a selfie into a powerful celebration of
individuality, confidence, and self-expression with its signature initiative, Selfie
Lo. Shine Karo. Star Ban Jaao! More than a celebration, this initiative
reflected the channel’s commitment to empowering women by giving them
visibility and a platform to shine, while encouraging them to express their
confidence and individuality.
The
initiative featured a specially curated &TV mirror installation,
crowned with symbolism and messages like #Women&Creator, #Women&Achiever,
#Women&Dreamer and #Women&Believer. Each selfie clicked at the
installation became a statement—a reflection of self-confidence and personal
pride. By participating in tagging &TV, women became part of a larger
narrative that celebrates self-recognition, visibility, and expression.
Shilpa
Shinde, beloved as Angoori Bhabi from Bhabiji
Ghar Par Hain! 2.0, joined the campaign on 8th March at Lucknow’s
Lulu Mall, engaging with participants and reinforcing the initiative’s
purpose. Select women interacted with her, capturing empowering moments that
turned everyday selfies into star experiences.
Reflecting
on the campaign, Shilpa Shinde said, "It’s incredible to see a
selfie—something so simple—become a tool for women to express themselves and
celebrate their individuality. &TV’s initiative is all about visibility,
confidence, and embracing who we are. I am proud to be part of a campaign that
truly empowers women to shine in their own way."
Kaveri
Das, Chief Channel Officer, &TV and Business Head – Hindi, Z5,
added, "Women form the heart of &TV’s audience, and their voices
deserve recognition. With ‘Selfie Lo. Shine Karo. Star Ban Jaao!’, we wanted to
create a meaningful platform where women could celebrate themselves
confidently. A selfie becomes more than just a picture; it becomes a moment of
visibility, recognition, and empowerment. Through this initiative, we are not
just celebrating Women’s Day; we are giving women an opportunity to shine on
their own terms."
The
initiative successfully reinforced the channel’s commitment to championing
women’s confidence and individuality, bringing the brand promise to life in a
meaningful and participative way, while encouraging women to express themselves
and ‘shine’.
