Guess Who: This Ramayana Actor Steps Into Uniform for the 26/11 Drama Prahaar: The Untold Story of Ujjwal Nikam
Trailer out now; film releases in theatres on 16 October 2026
Mumbai, 30 September 2026: The wait is over. The actor stepping into uniform for Prahaar: The Untold Story of Ujjwal Nikam is Ajinkya Deo, who is also part of the much-awaited Ramayana.
Following yesterday's trailer launch, Ajinkya Deo is confirmed to play the crucial role of an active Police Commissioner Mumbai during the 26/11 terrorist attacks, one of the most defining chapters in the city's recent history.
Ajinkya's preparation went into the smallest details: the posture, the pauses and the tired stillness of a senior officer in the middle of a crisis. The aim was a portrayal that feels lived-in rather than performed.
The film follows the story of public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam and the high-stakes legal battle that unfolded in the aftermath of the attacks. Ajinkya's character is at the centre of the events on the ground, adding to the film's authentic, hard-hitting account of the period.
The role is another significant addition to Ajinkya's growing body of work. Following his recent appearances in 120 Bahadur and Brown, Prahaar is the first of two major releases he has lined up back-to-back, with Ramayana to follow.
