CBFC's Blame Game against Mamta Child Factory's Director Mohsin Khan A fresh dispute has come up between filmmaker Mohsin Khan and the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) over his upcoming Hindi film Mamta Child Factory. The young director has found himself in the middle of a blame game that seems unfair and confusing. According to the film's crew, the censor board has raised doubts about the movie’s originality. The official application form submitted on June 11, 2025, clearly mentions that Mamta Child Factory is an Original Hindi Movie.Yet, the CBFC has now claimed that the film seems to be dubbed, which the makers say is completely untrue. The team believes the CBFC is relying on assumptions and verbal remarks rather than official documents. Another major concern is the delay in the board’s response. The film was screened for the censor months ago, but it has taken almost Two and a Half months for the CBFC to give any formal report. Such long delays, the team says, are discouraging for independent filmmakers who don’t have big studios or big budget. In a show-cause notice dated October 14, 2025, sent to producer Jeganlouis David Nadar, the CBFC stated that the film cannot be certified for public release. The board also mentioned that the filmmaker had been given a hearing before the decision was made. However, the reasons mentioned remain unclear to the team. Director Mohsin Khan, known for his simple yet powerful storytelling, has chosen to stay calm for now. Mohsin has made a sincere film on a sensitive subject, and instead he’s facing unnecessary hurdles. Sometimes the system often makes it harder for young directors to bring their stories to the screen. Whether the issue gets resolved soon or not, Mamta Child Factory has already drawn attention, not for its story yet, but for the struggle behind it. The film was expected to release in August 2025 but due to unforeseen circumstances, the audience has to wait for a while for the issue to get resolved. Mamta child factory deals with the complexities of surrogacy, blending intense drama with a strong social message.
