On World Theater’s Day Shemaroo Umang’s artist Neelu Vaghela says,”I started my journey as a theater artist,” Theater has always been the soul of storytelling—an art form that breathes life into emotions, instills discipline, and shapes an artist’s journey. More than just a stage, it’s a place where actors refine their craft, forge deep connections with audiences, and evolve as performers. On the occasion of World Theater Day, Neelu Vaghela, who portrays Rajeshwari Devi in Shemaroo Umang’s Main Dil Tum Dhadkan, takes a nostalgic trip down memory lane, sharing how theater played a pivotal role in shaping her as an artist. She says,"Theater holds great importance in my life because I started my journey as a theater artist. It gave me confidence, rhythm, and a strong command over body language. Performing on stage in front of a live audience teaches you to express emotions in a raw and real way. Theater allows you to portray a variety of characters, making it easier to transition into television and films. The confidence and experience gained from theater help an artist grow in every medium of storytelling." She further added,"My most memorable theater experience was when I performed in Supatra Binani at just 11 years old. That same play was later turned into a film, which became the beginning of my career. Theater has always influenced storytelling, and even today, many old dramas are being adapted into modern formats like web series and OTT content. Training in theater is like a foundation that strengthens an artist’s skills. Whether through workshops or stage performances, it plays a huge role in shaping an actor’s journey." Watch ‘Main Dil Tum Dhadkan’ every Monday to Saturday at 8:30 pm only on Shemaroo Umang!
