THE PICKUP ARTIST WAS DESTINED TO MAKE HISTORY”- SAYS ACTOR PANKAJ UNIYAL
“Hard work, perseverance and patience eventually gets rewarded”, that is what Actor/Writer Pankaj Uniyal feels, who is playing one of the major characters in THE PICKUP ARTIST.
World's oldest independent film festival "Worldfest Houston"
which discovered the likes of Steven Spielberg (Director, Jurassic park), George Lucas (Director, Star Wars) , Ang Lee (Director, The Life of Pi) , David Lynch (Director, Mulholland Drive), Coen Brothers (Director, Barton Fink), Francis Ford Coppola (Director, The Godfather) is all set to Premiere this Indian Feature Film directed by Rohit Arora.
Pankaj has also worked on the project as an additional screenplay writer and an assistant director. He gives the whole credit to Director’s vision, hard work and perseverance for the film making waves internationally after a journey of almost 4 years.
Revealing that his character in the film is loosely based on his real life personality which the director had intelligently crafted to suit the narrative of the story. Hence it was easy for him to slip into the shoes of the character. Pankaj mentions that it being an independent film, the most difficult part was the execution. It was difficult to make people understand and believe in Rohit’s vision for his kind of Cinema. There was a lot of multitasking but the overall process was immensely satisfying.
Pankaj mentions that Rohit is a perfectionist and at times it’s difficult to match with his level of commitment and demand for perfection. But now that the journey of the film has come a full circle with all the accolades and appreciation coming from International Film Festivals, it’s time to unwind and soak in the success.
The Pickup Artist is produced by Roar Picture Company and is due for domestic release this year.
