Inauguration of Dialysis Centre at Lion Kartar Singh Hospital, Mumbai by Honourable Minister for Public Health and Family Welfare, Shri. Suresh Shetty

Mumbai 1^st March 2012- This philosophy has lead  The Veera Desai Jain Sangh to create a dialysis centre named Smt Dhanlaxmi R Vora Dialysis Centre, in co-operation with Lions Club of Versova, for the benefit of the needy sections of society undergoing dialysis. The inauguration is slated to take place on 4^th March 2012 at 10am by Honourable Shri. Suresh Shetty, Cabinet Minister  for Public Health & Family Welfare at Lion Kartar Singh Hospital, Andheri West, Mumbai.
The inauguration will be attended by dignitaries and important members of society like MLA’s Shri Krishna Hegde and Shri Ashokbhau Jadhav, M.C.G.M corporaters  Shri Mohsin Haider, Shri Bala Ambekar, Smt Jyotsna Dighe and Smt Binita Vora, Shri Shyam Malpani, ex-Director and Shri Surendranath Vukkaudala, incumbent Director, Lions Club International, Shri Jiten Shah, MD, Sambhav Group and Shri Ramesh P. The Trust was formed in the year 1993 to coincide with dedicating a Jain Temple at Veera Desai Road with Lord Parshvanath as their Cheif Deity. Besides Religious and Congregation services, the Sangh has formed a Foundation for helping the needy. The foundation, then known as Sadharmik Foundation is now being christened “Smt. Hansaben Rameshbhai Shah Sadharmik Foundation”.

Cannes extends official invitation to Indian National award winning director, Onir for the Producers Network

It’s a dream run for Onir -Post his National Award win for I AM ,the director was extended an official invitation  from Cannes to be part of the Festival’s Producer’s Network.

Sanjay Suri and Onir’s I AM recently bagged the National Award for Best Hindi Film,the first of its kind crowd sourced mainstream Hindi film ,co produced by over 400 people from 35 cities across the world is a tale of 4 stories woven together that takes audiences through issues and dilemmas that bruise the modern Indian society.

Says director Onir “ I Am on seventh heaven right now. With all this good news coming my way, I feel rejuvenated once again. First the award and now this, it’s overwhelming. It still has to sink in. I cannot thank my friends and everyone who has supported me enough”.

With The Guardian newspaper of the UK ranking Svenska Design Hotels as amongst the “10 of the Best Hotels in Mumbai”, Zia Shiekh and Wasim Shiekh, hosted a lavish success party at Miro, the award-winning Mediterranean fine-dining restaurant & bar at Svenska Design Hotel in Andheri West.  Starting at the chic Miro Lounge with inventive cocktails, cheese fondue and delicious tapas such as patatas bravas and grilled skewers of corn-fed chicken aioli, the culinary action then shifted to 7-course gourmet meal with delightful cuisine from Spain, Italy, Greece, Turkey and Morocco.
