HARSH MARIWALA'S BOOK 'HARSH REALITIES' TO GET SCREEN ADAPTATION Almighty Motion Picture, whose latest production Made In India – A Titan Story has drawn industry attention for its scale and emotional depth, is widening its creative horizon. It is set to bring the acclaimed business bestseller Harsh Realities: The Making of Marico to the screen, adapting the inspiring entrepreneurial journey of Marico’s Chairman and Founder, Harsh Mariwala. The book, co-authored with globally respected business strategist, Ram Charan, chronicles the rise of one of India’s most admired consumer goods companies and the visionary leadership behind it. The announcement comes as Almighty Motion Picture continues to expand its slate of real-life stories. Development on the adaptation will begin soon with renowned and multiple award-winning writer Karan Vyas, known for his work on acclaimed series including Scam 1992, Scoop and Made in India – A Titan Story. The project, currently in early development, will explore Mariwala’s bold decision in 1987 to break away from the traditional family-run Bombay Oil Industries Ltd. to establish Marico, a company that would go on to become a global FMCG powerhouse. More than a corporate success story, Harsh Realities captures the grit, risk-taking and strategic thinking that transformed a traditional business into a professionally managed global enterprise. The adaptation aims to highlight not only the milestones of Marico’s growth but also the human story behind the decisions, challenges and leadership that shaped its success.
