Cannes 2026: Bigg Boss 17 fame Soniya Bansal Makes Striking Debut in Radha Rani-Inspired Ensemble, Blends Spirituality with Couture Elegance Actor Soniya Bansal, best known for her stint on Bigg Boss 17, marked a notable international debut at the 79th edition of the Cannes Film Festival, turning heads with a culturally rooted and spiritually inspired red carpet appearance. Representing her upcoming environmental film The Last Breath, Bansal’s presence at the global film gala was both cinematic and symbolic, as she brought Indian devotional aesthetics to one of cinema’s most prestigious platforms. For her debut outing, the actress wore a bespoke creation by celebrated designer Dolly J. The ensemble, a pastel pink lehenga-saree hybrid, featured intricate white floral embroidery and delicate gold detailing, with a sheer dupatta gracefully draped over her head—evoking the serene imagery associated with Radha Rani. Her styling further elevated the look, with emerald and uncut diamond jewellery, traditional bangles, and a subtle alta accent on her hands. A soft, dewy makeup palette, defined eyes, and a minimal bindi completed the aesthetic, while a peacock feather detail woven into her hair added a symbolic nod to Indian mythology. Speaking briefly about her Cannes debut, Bansal said, “Walking the red carpet at Cannes for the first time feels surreal. I wanted to stay rooted in Indian culture while presenting something timeless and graceful on an international stage.” In The Last Breath, Bansal reportedly not only stars but has also contributed creatively to the project, which highlights the urgent issue of deforestation. She shares screen space with actor Shiv Thakare. With this debut, Bansal joins a growing list of Indian artists using the Cannes platform to merge cinema, culture, and social messaging on a global scale. 79वें कान्स फिल्म फेस्टिवल में बिग बॉस 17 फेम
