ZEE5 Announces the Digital Premiere of Romantic Comedy ‘Pookie’ on March 13th - The film will be streaming in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada - India, 4th March, 2026: ZEE5 today announced the digital premiere of Pookie, a romantic comedy directed by Ganesh Chandra in his directorial debut. The film will stream exclusively on Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada ZEE5 from March 13th. Produced by Fatima Vijay Antony under the Vijay Antony Film Corporation, the film stars Ajay Dhishan and R. K. Dhanusha, who makes her debut as the female lead. The cast also includes Pandiarajan, Sunil, and Lakshmi Manchu. The film’s music and editing are handled by Vijay Antony. Pookie follows the humorous and emotionally relatable journey of a couple caught between wanting to separate and realising they may still hold onto each other, capturing the confusion, affection and contradictions of modern relationships. Producer, Music Director and Editor of the film, Vijay Anthony shares, “Pookie is a story that feels simple on the surface but reflects something very real about relationships today. Director Ganesh Chandra has brought a fresh energy and honesty to this film.
