Lyricist Sameer Anjaan Unveils Title Song of Azad Bharath at Mumbai Event
22 Dec 2025 Mumbai: Celebrated lyricist Sameer Anjaan officially unveiled the title song of the upcoming Hindi patriotic historical film Azad Bharath at a special song launch event held in Mumbai. The unveiling took place in the presence of the film’s director and lead actress Roopa Iyer, along with actress Indira Tiwari, members of the cast, crew, and media representatives.
Penned by Sameer Anjaan, the title track reflects themes of courage, sacrifice, and patriotism that are central to the narrative of Azad Bharath. The song aims to evoke the emotional spirit of India’s freedom movement while remaining rooted in historical context.
*Speaking at the event, Sameer Anjaan shared* that working on the title song was a deeply meaningful experience, as it allowed him to explore lesser-known stories of bravery and resilience from India’s independence era through music and words.
Azad Bharath features an ensemble cast including Shreyas Talpade, Suresh Oberoi, Roopa Iyer, Indira Tiwari, Dr. Subhash Chandra, Priyanshu Chatterjee, and Suchendra Prasad. The music is composed by Gautham Srivatsaa. The film is produced under the banner India Classic Arts.
The music of the title song blends traditional and contemporary elements, supporting the film’s historical backdrop while enhancing its emotional depth.

Azad Bharath is an ambitious Hindi-language period drama directed and produced by Roopa Iyer, and is based on the Indian National Army (Azad Hind Fauj), with a special focus on its women’s wing—the Rani of Jhansi Regiment (also known as the Rani Laxmibai Regiment). Produced by India Classic Arts, the film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on 2 January 2026, aligning with the birth anniversary month of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.
