Khushi Kapoor Is Now a Co-Founder: The Actor Joins Nail Brand nailinit as Chief Creative Officer Mumbai, November 2026: Khushi Kapoor has joined new-age Indian nail care brand nailinit as Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer (CCO), alongside Shubham Singhal and Tanishq Ambegaokar. The actor, who has often experimented with nail art as part of her personal style, has been closely involved in developing the brand's products, working with vendors, deciding on designs and overseeing its creative direction. Khushi Kapoor had been thinking about starting a business of her own for some time. Having always enjoyed experimenting with nail art, she was interested in creating something that reflected her personal style while offering women an easier way to experiment with theirs. When she met Shubham and Tanishq and began discussing their plans for nailinit, she saw an opportunity to turn that interest into something she could be part of building. “I’ve always wanted to build something of my own, something that reflects my personality and is in a space I genuinely connect with. With nailinit, I feel like I’ve found just that. I’m really excited to partner with Shubham and Tanishq, who share the same vision of creating a brand that is fun, expressive and relatable. More than anything, we want nailinit to be a brand that girls everywhere can connect with, enjoy and truly make their own.” What began as conversations about the products soon turned into a shared vision for nailinit, with Khushi joining Shubham and Tanishq as co-founder. Since then, Khushi has been closely involved in product development, creative direction and the larger decisions shaping nailinit. Getting the Product Right One of Khushi's first priorities was the quality of the press-on nails. She worked with Shubham, Tanishq and the team on vendor selection, material research and product development, including exploring high-quality materials and improving the adhesive used to apply the nails. Having regularly worn different types of nail extensions, Khushi had a fairly specific idea of what she wanted from a press-on. It needed to feel comfortable, stay in place and give customers a salon-like experience without the same level of commitment. "One conversation that really sticks with me is the one I had with Tanishq about the nail glue. I was very particular about wanting press-ons that would stick well and stay put, almost like acrylics, but without the damage. I really wanted us to get that balance right. It was important to me that we weren't just creating something that looked good, but something that worked well, too," she explains. Her involvement also extended to nail care, an area she felt deserved greater attention. The brand has developed a cuticle oil, along with instructions covering application, preparation and removal, to help customers understand how to use and look after their press-ons. "I didn't want us to just sell press-ons. I wanted us to think about the whole experience, including how you prep your nails and care for them," says Khushi. Design has been another area where she has been particularly involved. Khushi has worked with the team on developing collections that offer customers different styles to experiment with, while being mindful of how quickly trends in nail art can change. She wanted the designs to have enough personality to appeal to someone beyond a particular trend or season. Alongside product development, Khushi has also contributed to the brand's campaigns, communication and overall creative direction, working closely with Shubham and Tanishq on how nailinit is presented to its customers. Why Khushi Kapoor Introduced nailinit With a Slumber Party Before announcing her new role publicly, Khushi chose to share the news through an intimate slumber party in Alibaug, bringing together a handpicked group of guests for the first celebration of her new role. Ahead of the event, she had shared a video on Instagram inviting her followers to apply for a chance to join her. The invitation received approximately 25,000 applications, with a select group invited to be part of the experience. The idea came from Khushi's own memories of spending evenings with her girlfriends, getting ready together, doing their nails and having conversations that would often continue late into the night. Having spent months working on nailinit as a co-founder, she wanted to share it in a setting that felt personal to her, while giving guests the opportunity to experience the products firsthand. "The idea of a slumber party came from what a girls' night really means to me. It's where you share your biggest secrets, have the most random conversations and talk about all the dreams you're hoping to make a reality. A lot of the time, those nights become the space where you feel most comfortable being yourself," she shares. The celebration also introduced an important part of what Khushi hopes to build with nailinit: a community of women who enjoy beauty, experimenting with their appearance and sharing those experiences with one another. "Building a brand was a huge dream of mine, so sharing this with some of my closest people in that kind of setting just felt right. I wanted the announcement to feel personal and intimate, rather than like a conventional announcement." Learning the Business Behind Beauty Joining nailinit has also meant getting familiar with parts of the beauty business that Khushi had never encountered as a consumer. Over the course of developing the brand, she has participated in discussions about manufacturing, sourcing, warehousing and building the team. "Honestly, I've learnt a lot more than I expected to. There's so much that goes into building a company that you never really think about as a consumer. It starts with understanding the materials that go into a product and goes all the way to decisions like whether to outsource warehousing or manage it in-house," she says. She also credits the experience with changing the way she looks at the products she buys and the companies behind them. Understanding the amount of work involved in getting even one product ready for customers has been an important part of her introduction to entrepreneurship. As Co-Founder and CCO, Khushi will continue working alongside Shubham and Tanishq on nailinit's product range, campaigns and future creative plans. Her involvement will include developing new designs, refining the customer experience and contributing to the company's larger business decisions. For Khushi, who had wanted to build something of her own for years, nailinit has given her the opportunity to turn a longstanding personal interest into a business she can actively contribute to. "It wasn't just about associating with a brand. It was about building something I genuinely believed in, something that could do more for girls and change the way they experience nails. I finally found something that was mine to build." About nailinit nailinit is an Indian nail care brand co-founded by Shubham Singhal, Tanishq Ambegaokar and Khushi Kapoor.
