On Family Full House with Rohit Sharma, the hitman opened up about how his two children’s different personalities and their innocence have influenced the way he approaches situations, including his role as a captain. Speaking about what he has learnt from his children, Rohit said, “Mere dono bachche alag-alag character hain, dono ka bartav alag hai kyunki umar alag hai. Ek 7 saal ki hai, ek 2 saal ka hoga. Toh unse mujhe jo seekhne ko milta hai, woh un bachchon ke andar jo bholaapan hota hai na, innocence. Kyunki kabhi-kabhi ye innocence mujhe apne ground pe bhi leke jaana padta hai. Jab main captaincy karta hoon,” Rohit went on to explain how this lesson sometimes reflects in the way he communicates with his teammates. Giving an example of how he guides a player on the field, he said, “toh Kuldeep Yadav, Arey bhai, ye ball daalni hai aapko, aapko aise perform karna hai. Main chahta hoon ki aap ground mein aaiye. Main ek example de raha hoon, par logon ke saath aisa bartav karna padta hai, toh I think ye cheez apne bachchon se mujhe seekhne ko mili hai.” Through this reflection, Rohit shared how the innocence he sees in his children has taught him to approach people differently, a lesson he carries into his responsibilities as a captain.
