IS BOLLYWOOD INDUSTRY NOT A FAMILY / COMMUNITY ANYMORE ???

IS BOLLYWOOD INDUSTRY NOT A FAMILY / COMMUNITY ANYMORE ???
Yesterday i had attended the legendary and iconic actor Nana Patekar jis prayer meeting . I was extremely saddened n dissappointed with the Bollywood fraternity as none of the A list actors and actresses who had worked with Nana Sir were there to grieve his death, celebrate his work and express solidarity during such times. It made me realise that equations in Bollywood these days are only left merely to express and mourn someone's passing away through an obituary post on social media and its only on the surface level! Barring a few Marathi industry actors were there ( but i did not see the big names from Marathi film industry as well) Most of them gave a heartfelt tribute to Nana Patekar Sir and everyone mentioned about he being an actor par excellence and also spoke about his short tempered nature ! Most of them had pleasant and unpleasant memories with him. Another thing which was shocking was that there were 2 National award winning Directors who took to social media 8am and posted pictures of them with Nana ji and wrote a condolence post and their association with him on the day when passed away but the irony n disgusting part was that none of the 2 veteran Directors were there yesterday to their final respects and homage to Nana Patekar Sir 🙏🙏🙏 This really makes me wonder is Bollywood really lke a family / community as many people from the fraternity claim?? Is Bollywood just a place where relationships change overnight and are estranged when the camera and studio lights are dimmed ?? Is Bollywood a dark place to be in with all the fake glitz and glamour attached it to ! Indeed a grave issue to be pondered over!! - Palash Dutta ( Actor / Talent Coordinator / Producer/ Moderator)
