Mumbai: Veteran actor Manoj Bajpayee unveiled the official trailer of Uttar Da Puttar, offering audiences a glimpse into a unique comedy-drama that cleverly blends humour, emotions and social satire. The film takes an entertaining dig at Vastu Shastra, blind faith and the many superstitions that often influence people’s everyday decisions.
The trailer introduces a fun-filled world where beliefs, destiny and human emotions collide in unexpected ways. Packed with comic moments and family drama, Uttar Da Puttar explores how people often search for solutions in directions, rituals and assumptions while chasing happiness and success.
Leading the film is acclaimed actor Annu Kapoor, who plays a man whose life takes a dramatic turn after he becomes convinced that changing directions can change his destiny. His journey triggers a chain of amusing incidents and chaotic situations, creating a rollercoaster of laughter, emotions and relationships.
The film also features an impressive ensemble cast including Rukhsar Rehman, Brijendra Kala, Pavan Malhotra, Ishtiyak Khan, Jeeveshu Ahluwalia, Rajendra Sethi, Sumit Gulati and Nitin Arora, each adding their own flavour to the film's vibrant narrative.
Produced by Sandiip Kapur and Priya Kapur under the banner of Promodome Motion Pictures, Uttar Da Puttar is written and directed by Ravinder Siwach and is based on a story by Sandiip Kapur.
Speaking about the film, producer Sandiip Kapur said, "We are delighted to have Manoj Bajpayee launch the trailer of Uttar Da Puttar. The film is designed as a complete family entertainer. While humour is at the heart of the story, it also reflects on how people sometimes allow beliefs and assumptions to shape their decisions. We wanted to present that idea in a light and entertaining way."
Director Ravinder Siwach added, "Uttar Da Puttar presents a world that is funny, relatable and filled with memorable characters. The trailer gives only a small glimpse of what audiences can expect. There is a lot more drama, humour and emotion waiting in the film."
Built around the thought-provoking question, 'Karam Bade Ya Kismat?', the film attempts to explore whether life is truly guided by destiny or by our own actions, all while keeping the narrative engaging and entertaining.
After backing content-driven films like Jugaad, Anaarkali of Aarah and Bhonsle, Promodome Motion Pictures continues its journey of presenting distinctive and meaningful stories with Uttar Da Puttar.
Uttar Da Puttar is set for a worldwide theatrical release on 24th July 2026.
