Ashu shared that she stepped into the gym at the age of 54 to add some “tadka” to her routine life and what began as a casual conversation turned into a revelation as she continued to share more remarkable life milestones, surprising everyone in the room. “Daal mein tadka lagate lagate life boring ho rahi thi. Socha life mein thoda tadka lagaya jaye.” she expressed while declaring that she stepped inside a gym at the age of 54 for the very first time in her life as Akshay asked her about her journey to becoming a fitness influencer taking him completely by surprise. Ashu today is a well-recognised fitness influencer. She discussed how her routine was limited to managing her home and family. She further went on to share that she’s regular at her Zumba classes and even runs marathons now. She proudly added, “I used to run 10 km; now I comfortably run 15 km. Meri aukaat ho gayi hai.” The real surprise came when she revealed that she is now 58 years old and even has a granddaughter. Beyond her fitness journey, Ashu also shared that she is not one to chase academic milestones. She completed her Master of Technology (M.Tech) at the age of 44, began her PhD at 47, and completed it at 53. Impressed by her unstoppable spirit, Akshay asked if NASA was next on her list. Akshay shared that her journey reminded him of his wife, Twinkle Khanna, who completed her Master’s at 50 and now plans to pursue a PhD.
