Kerala Kalakshetram, Vasai is a renowned classical dance institution where Bharatanatyam, Mohiniyattam, and Kuchipudi are taught, with a special focus on Bharatanatyam. For the past 17 years, numerous students of all age groups have had the opportunity to learn these rich classical art forms here. We conduct certified examination courses through the Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, enabling students to earn certificates that also provide grace marks in their academic board examinations. In addition to regular classes, our advanced students receive specialized training in performance-oriented dance pieces for stage programs and cultural events held on various occasions. Arangetram 2025 The Arangetram of ten students from Kerala Kalakshetram was held at Lata Mangeshkar Auditorium, Mira Road, on 31st October 2025. The Chief Guests for the program were Guru Vijay Shankar, Kala Guru Smt. Sumitra Raja Guru, and well-known social worker Shri Deepak Tripathi. All the students were trained under the guidance of Kala Guru Kalamandalam Rajitha S. Nair. Dance Presentation The Bharatanatyam recital covered the full traditional repertoire including: Pushpanjali, Alarippu, Jatiswaram, Shabdam, Varnam, Padam, Tillana, and Mangalam. Participants The ten students who performed their Arangetram were: Anamika Jairaj, Anika Mahesh, Anvi Srivastava, Arya Anish Nair, Nandini Nitin Patil, Srushti Manchekar, Suhana Maity, Swasti Naik, Sreenidhi Amaradasan Nair and Veda Sajeev Kumar.
