Rapido partners with National Capital Region Transport Corporation to enhance last-mile connectivity at Sahibabad and Ghaziabad stations ● Rapido offers feeder services for Nammo Bharat train passengers at Sahibabad and Ghaziabad stations. ● Rapido has more than 300 bike taxi, auto, and cab captains to facilitate commute for users from the established pick-up and drop-off points at these stations Delhi, 30, April 2024: Rapido, India’s leading commute app, has entered into a partnership with National Capital Region Transport Corporation Ltd. (NCRTC) to offer feeder services for Namo Bharat train passengers at Sahibabad and Ghaziabad stations along the operational 17 km section of the Delhi-Meerut RRTS (Regional Rapid Transit System). Over 300+ number of Rapido bike taxi, autos and cab captains will be operating from the dedicated pick-up and drop-off points that Rapido has been permitted to establish at the Ghaziabad and Sahibabad stations. Currently, recording a total of 15,000+ riders per day, the RRTS train operated by NCRTC is expected to witness an upsurge of 100,000+ daily commuters with the opening of new stations in the next few months. This creates an immense opportunity for Rapido to extend its bike taxi, auto, and cab hailing services and provide affordable last mile connectivity solutions for the growing number of commuters using the RRTS network. The dedicated pick-up and drop-off points will further ensure a smooth and hassle-free experience for commuters, augmenting the appeal of the RRTS as a preferred mode of transportation in the NCR. The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) is a collaborative venture between the Government of India and the states of Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi. It is the overseeing body of RapidX, the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) initiative launched on October 20, 2023, spanning the National Capital Region (NCR). Tasked with the comprehensive management of the RRTS project, NCRTC's responsibilities include its design, development, implementation, financing, operation, and maintenance, all aimed at providing efficient and rapid transit services to the towns in the NCR and addressing the increasing demand for swift transportation options in the area.
