ANITA DONGRE EXPANDS HER GLOBAL LEGACY WITH A LANDMARK STORE OPENING IN BEVERLY HILLS, LOS ANGELES
Los Angeles/Mumbai, November 3, 2025:
Celebrated Indian fashion designer Anita Dongre takes another bold step in her global journey with the opening of her 3000 sq. ft.
flagship store in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles. With this launch, Dongre becomes the
first Indian designer to open a flagship in Beverly Hills, marking her
fourth international store after New York City and The Dubai Mall, a true testament to her vision of taking India to the world.
Located at the iconic
Wilshire Boulevard, Beverly Hills, the new space brings Anita Dongre’s philosophy of mindful luxury to one of the world’s most coveted fashion destinations. It offers a curated selection of handcrafted couture, ready-to-wear, and accessories that celebrate
the soul of Indian craftsmanship through a contemporary global lens.
The launch was co-hosted by Mindy Kaling and Poorna Jagannathan, bringing together leading voices of South Asian representation in Hollywood and global fashion, among them Jay Shetty, Radhika Shetty, Anjula Acharia, Payal Kadakia, Francia Raisa, Ramona Young, Lee Rodriguez, Deepica Mutyala, Amrit Kaur, Ami Desai, Nidhi Sunil and Richa Moorjani, all coming together to celebrate the designer’s distinctive blend of luxury, culture and artistry.
Inside, the store reimagines modern-day Rajasthan, a sanctuary of serenity that pays homage to Indian artistry. Every element,
from hand-painted Pichhwai walls depicting flora and fauna, to embroidered cushions, bespoke wallpaper, and custom furnishings, has been
handcrafted by artisans across India. Together, they create an immersive experience that bridges India’s craft heritage with modern design sensibilities.
At its heart stands a breathtaking installation of an elephant matriarch and calf from
The Great Elephant Migration, a global art movement supporting sustainability and indigenous craftsmanship. The sculptures, crafted by Indian artisan communities using invasive lantana weeds, serve as a powerful symbol of conservation, compassion, and
conscious luxury.
Speaking on this milestone,
Anita Dongre shared, “Every creation we make is touched by the hands of skilled women artisans whose stories and traditions inspire our work. Bringing their artistry to Beverly Hills is not only about fashion, it’s about giving India’s craftspeople
the global platform they so deeply deserve.”
Rooted in Rajasthan, Dongre has consistently worked toward preserving India’s handloom and embroidery traditions while creating
sustainable livelihoods for thousands of craftspeople. With this Beverly Hills opening, she continues her mission of representing India’s design identity on the global stage, one that stands for authenticity, artistry, and purpose.
