Bhuvan Bam Reveals His Ultimate Favorite Show with IMDb, says, “Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai Remains Undefeated” In a brand-new segment, IMDb caught up with popular content creator and actor Bhuvan Bam, who took fans on a personal tour of his favorite titles and genres. From iconic Indian comedies to groundbreaking mysteries, Bhuvan’s list offers a fresh perspective on the shows and movies that inspire him. Starting with his top pick in comedy, Bhuvan describes, “No matter how many shows come in the world, Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai remains undefeated. Probably the only show or movie that I have in my pendrive. Pick any random episode from any season, it's equally funny. Indravardhan Sarabhai is what people these days call ‘dank, sigma, chad’.” On the comedy front in movies, Bhuvan names Bhagam Bhag by Priyadarshan as an all-time favorite. He said, “First of all, the entire film is available on 4 to 5 YouTube channels, officially. So I think this is the best part of such movies that are available everywhere. Plus, I am a great fan of this particular genre of comedy of errors, and no one in India probably can do it better than Priyadarshan sir. And you pick any movie of his, De Dana Dan, Hera Pheri, Bhagam Bhag. You don't need to understand what is happening in the movie. You can just pick it up from any time stamp and start watching, and you will have an equal amount of fun.” Diving into drama, his favorite genre, Bhuvan describes his next pick: “People think that I love comedy movies, but I rarely watch comedy because my writing gets subconsciously influenced. Kumbalangi Nights, because of this movie, my color grading sense for a movie changed a lot. I am a fan of that movie just because of how it's been graded and how it's been colored.” For the mystery genre, Bhuvan said, “I didn't know anything about Bramayugam. But since it is graded in black and white, I found it very intriguing. To present a movie in such a thriller and horror zone is amazing. To make a black and white movie or show, you can't just shoot or grade it in black and white; you need to choose the clothes, camera, and light accordingly. That fight sequence in Dune: Part One made me realize how tough it is—and Bramayugam intrigues me for this reason.” Rounding off his list, Bhuvan also mentions Breaking Bad, Goodfellas, Schindler's List, Paar, Black Mirror, and Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India—a lineup that truly reflects his love for diverse and impactful storytelling.
