All the characters in Mentalhood are real, human and have their imperfections. In a candid fireside chat, the three mothers of ‘Mentalhood’- Karisma Kapoor, Shilpa Shukla and Sandhya Mridul talk about GenZ lingo, motherhood, their upcoming web series and a lot more.

Mentalhood is a story not only from a mother’s point of view but from a women’s point of view. The storyline essays what each character goes through and is very close to what we see in life behind the closed doors and in front.

On children hiding things from you, Karisma Kapoor, who marks her digital debut with ‘Mentalhood’ says, “The most important thing is - for children to talk to us, we have to talk to them”.

How do you make homemade food cool? To this, Karisma said, “It is something you have to engrain in your children at a young age. When they are younger, you have to make the food look interesting.”

On being asked to describe her experience on the show, Shilpa said, “Mentalhood is a show that makes you go through emotions and the process of catharsis that one has not had in a long time. One will see themselves in it, in the narrative. It will make one feel that you are not alone – the world is you and you are the world.”

With an array of emotions in this fireside chat, all three on-screen mothers of ‘Mentalhood’- Shilpa Shukla, Karisma Kapoor and Sandhya Mridul had various insights to give.

Mentalhood premieres on ZEE5 and ALTBalaji on 11th March. Hey
