*RANGBAAZ THE ‘MOST WATCHED ORIGINAL SERIES’ ON ZEE5*
Rangbaaz Season 1 starring Saqib Saleem, Ranvir Shorey, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Ravi Kishan, Aahana Kumra (amongst others ) was set against the rustic background of the Gorakhpur of the 90’s with hues of crime, blood, lust and dirty politics. The series was appreciated by audiences across and interestingly it continues to draw engagement on the platform.
The completion rate and total viewership of the series has been massive and in the recently held awards of the platform - HIGH FIVE ON ZEE5, Rangbaaz received an award for the ‘Most Viewed Original Series on ZEE5’.
The award ceremony took place at ZEE5’s HQ in Mumbai and was received by the director of the series, Bhav Dulia.
Since Rangbaaz was a huge success, it compelled and encouraged ZEE5 to release the second season for the series, Rangbaaz Phirse. Starring Jimmy Sheirgill, Spruha Joshi, Sharad Kelkar, Sushant Singh and Gul Panag the series released on 20th December 2019 and was received extremely well by audiences. The nine episode series is binge worthy and full of twist and turns.
It is the story of a young guy who falls through the cracks because of politics and is robbed of his youth which subsequently ruins his life. It is about misguided manipulative youth and highlights how an individual is #NotBornACriminal but becomes one because of the circumstances around him
