Before you jump to any conclusions, here’s how the story goes.  Actor Yogesh Tripathi popularly known as Happu Singh soon to be seen in &TV’s Happu Ki Ultan Paltan credits his acting chops and the character to one personality he really looks up to and is forever grateful to have had a chance to meet him. It is none other the Bollywood’s versatile actor Govinda. Yogesh Tripathi aka Happu Singh who has worked both in the television and theatre space shares, “There are many actors in the fraternity who perform well, and I admire their talent as well, but for me Govinda is an ultimate inspiration. I respect everything about him right from his acting style to the way he walks, his screen presence and aura. There is something new that I learn from him every time and for me, he is a powerhouse of talent.”
He further adds, “I grew up in a family of teachers and the environment at home was filled with maths, physics and chemistry conversations. But on the other hand, every time my mother visited her parents she used to take me along and not just that, she used to take me out for movies with her knowing well as to how much I loved Bollywood movies especially the ones with Govinda. I am really glad that my mother allowed be to watch as many movies that I wanted to watch. I'm such an ardent fan of Chi chis work that once when he visited the sets of Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain for a sequence, I was awestruck and had a fanboy moment. I literally ran towards him just to click a picture with him. Many celebrities came and went but shooting in the same frame as Govinda was a surreal experience. All the acting and talent that I have been showcasing is from the observations I made while watching Govinda’s films.”  On another note, Yogesh said that while comedy is his comfort space, he would love to portray a serious role similar to actor Ashutosh Rana’s psycho act in the movie, Dushman.
Happu Ki Ultan Paltan dwells into the life and household misadventures of Happu Singh where stuck in a cross fire between the constant bickering of his mother and wife. To top it all, Happu has nine notorious kids who invariably create chaos in his life. Viewers will be witness to the madness and chaos created by Happu’s Paltan daily. The show brings together an ensemble cast of talented actors likeYogesh Tripathi, veteran actress Himani Shivpuri, theatre actress Kamna Pathak amongst others.
